Join Mel Poole to explore the history of the US Lifesaving Service, Keeper Little Bannister Midgett IV of Chicamacomico Station, and the 1881 rescue of the schooner Thomas J Lancaster.

The presentation is part of the museum’s Salty Dawgs Lecture Series, which features presentations on North Carolina maritime history and culture.
