The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum has been authorized by Congress and is a 501(c)(3) public, non-profit, educational institution. The National Park Service has dedicated seven acres of its land in the Cape Hatteras Seashore for the Museum site.

You can help the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum preserve one of the most dramatic chapters in American Maritime history through :

  • Contributions
  • Donor Opportunities
  • Gifts of Stock
  • Corporate Matching Gifts Program
  • Corporate Giving
  • Planned Giving
  • Memorial Donations
  • Honorary Donations
  • Gifts of Property
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Maritime Artifacts Relevant to the NC Outer Banks
  • In-Kind Contributions

    Gifts of Stock...
Making your gift to the Museum using stocks, bonds, or appreciated securities is an efficient, smart way to make a contribution.  You take a charitable gift deduction of the full, fair market value of the stock based on the date of transfer, and in doing so, you avoid paying the capital gains tax on the appreciated value.
    ... and Bequests
Your planned giving or bequest will provide continued income to the Museum and provides a way for donors to be remembered and honored in perpetuity.  Please let us know if you have remembered us in your will.

Act now to help build the museum, enhance collections and exhibitions, and further its role as an educational institution.
